About Gloria Dei

Our mission statement guides us in our living together as a community of disciples. We experience and respond to God's grace by moving beyond ourselves to make our world a better place. We value friendship, fellowship, service, learning, and worship that all shape our lives and grow our faith.

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church primarily serves the communities of the Western Hills of Cincinnati.

We are located at 5841 Werk Road, in the Bridgetown neighborhood of Cincinnati.

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary on October 18, 2009.

Our Pastors

Two pastors lead Gloria Dei, the Reverend Seth Bridger and the Reverend Shelley Nelson-Bridger. They have two sons, Noah (age 5) and Zachary (age 1). Pastors Seth and Shelley come to Gloria Dei after 5 years in Savannah, Georgia.

Pastor Seth studied at both Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH) and Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Columbus, OH) before his ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in 2006. Most recently, he has served as a church planter with the Abundant Life Community Church in Pooler, GA.

Pastor Shelley studied at Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH) and Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Columbus, OH) before her ordination to the clergy roster of the ELCA in 2006. Previously, she served as pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church in Springfield, GA, a historic, rural congregation just outside the Savannah area.
