CROP Walk

The CROP (Christian Respond to Overcome Poverty) Walk is an annual event for us at Gloria Dei.

For 2011, we participated in the CROP Walk, our annual fundraiser for local hunger agencies. We walked with folks from around the tri-state area in a walk that began in northern Kentucky, came into Ohio, and returned back to Newport. The walk began and ended at St. John’s United Church of Christ (415 Park Avenue, Newport, KY). It was a 3.5 mile walk, registration began at 1:30pm and the CROP Walk began at 2:00pm. The walk incorporated the Southgate / Taylor Bridge, the Purple People Bridge, and other sites along the riverfront.
