Outreach

Our mission statement calls us "to be faithful servants in our church and community and to support mission throughout the world."

In keeping with this call, Gloria Dei has continually been willing and generous toward others.

We have a unique Mission of the Month program that invites different missions into our congregation for support. We have a speaker share about their ministry and throughout the month we take up a special offering on their behalf.

We take up a food offering for Manna Food Pantry, provide gifts and presents for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in downtown Cincinnati, support the Operation Christmas Child program, hold a yearly ELCA World Hunger Appeal, and through our Craft Fair have supported the Welcome House of Northen Kentucky, a homeless services organization.

As part of the Gloria Dei outreach ministry, the church particpated in annual Harvest Home Festival Parade. The Big Blue Gloria Dei Lutheran Church sign was purchased for the parade. Our veterans rode in donated convertibles. The Big Blue Sign marched down the streets in the parade displaying our name, address, and web site.
